Mandatory Electronic Filing and Payments - Date announced for employer size allocation

Each employer's size for electronic filing and payment purposes will be checked by HMRC as at Sunday, 28 October 2007. It is based on the number of current PAYE employees in each PAYE scheme at that date. In early November, HMRC will notify employers which of the three size categories their PAYE Schemes fall into, i.e. small, medium or large, and the filing and payment obligations for the 2008/09 tax year that result from their size category.
